Citrulline Malate Powder, Ratio 2:1 (L-Citrulline DL-Malate)
Pharmaceutical Grade (USP)
What is Citrulline Malate?
Citrulline Malate is a compound consisting of Citrulline, a nonessential amino acid that is primarily found in watermelon, and Malate, an apple derivative (malic acid).
Research has shown that supplementation of Citrulline raises Arginine levels more effectively than taking the same dose of straight Arginine. Arginine is converted into nitric oxide, therefore increasing blood flow.
Citrulline malate enhances creatine phosphate regeneration – meaning quicker recovery from exercise.  Research doesn’t appear to support that this happens for Citrulline alone, so this aspect is attributed to the Malic Acid making the combination of Citrulline Malate the best supplement choice.
The reason why Citrulline Malate is used instead of Arginine supplementation is that it actually raises blood Arginine levels more effectively than Arginine supplementation. Taking high enough dosages of Arginine to reach appropriate levels of Arginine is possible. For better pump results combining Citrulline Malate, Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate (AAKG) and Agmatine Sulphate will help you achieve a longer pump.

Use & Benefits
Citrulline is a non-essential amino acid that supports the optimization of blood flow to the tissues. This vasodilation is what helps increase the amount of blood and oxygen that is delivered to the working muscles, helping to prevent both mental and physical fatigue.
Malate serves as an important component in the tricarboxylic cycle, which is one way your body produces energy. When you increase Malate levels, you increase energy production. Therefore, Citrulline Malate 2:1 ratio provides the one-two punch of bringing additional blood—and subsequently, oxygen and nutrients—to exercising muscles, as well as providing increased energy to boost performance levels.
Citrulline Malate also improves ATP production following exercise, which is another aspect as to why it might help increase energy. The main implications of supplementation appear to be the ability to add an extra couple of reps here and there while resistance training.Â
