What is Coconut Water Powder?

Coconut Water Powder is typically made from Coconut Water that comes from young coconuts about 6–7 months of age, though it’s also found in mature fruit.  Coconuts (Cocos nucifera) grow in tropical climates such as Asia and the Pacific.  The Philippines, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, and Papua New Guinea together account for about 80% of the total area planted to coconuts worldwide.  Our Coconut Water Powder is sourced from India.  Coconuts are botanically considered a fruit.

Coconut Water is rich in carbohydrates and electrolytes such as potassium, sodium, and magnesium.  Because of these electrolytes, there’s a lot of interest in using coconut water to treat and prevent dehydration.

Coconut Water Powder is made by evaporating and drying normal Coconut Water.  The method used for this is called Spray Drying.  Spray drying is a method of forming a dry powder from a liquid or slurry by rapidly drying with a hot air.  In most cases a carrier is used such as Maltodextrin.

Suggested Use:
