What is AAKG?
Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate (AAKG) is a compound containing both the essential amino acid Arginine and the buffering agent Alpha-Ketoglutaric Acid. Both components of AAKG are involved in the production of nitric oxide (NO), a vasodilator that widens blood vessels and increases blood flow to working muscles.
The L-Arginine part of AAKG, is a conditionally an essential amino acid found in the diet. Â It is a dietary supplement used mostly by athletic people because it is the amino acid that directly produces nitric oxide via the nitric oxide synthase enzymes.
Alpha-Ketoglutaric Acid is a biological compound found naturally in the human body. Alpha-ketoglutarate is said to offer a variety of health benefits, including enhanced athletic performance and improved metabolism.
Alpha Ketoglutaric acid cannot be obtained from food.  Rather, it is synthesized from non-essential amino acids that the body produces from its own cells. The combination of L-Arginine and Alpha-Ketoglutarate makes this an important dietary supplement form.

Suggested Use
Adult – Mix 1 teaspoon (3.5 g) of AAKG with 200 ml of water, juice, protein shake or your pre-workout. Â Take AAKG 15 to 30 minutes prior to exercise or workout. Â On non-workout days take within 30 minutes of waking up or within 30 minutes prior to sleep to assist in muscle recovery.
Children 4 – 15 years – Only as professionally prescribed. Not to be used by children under 4 years of age.Â
Clumping may occur and is a natural occurrence. Simply break up with a spoon to create free flowing powder.
Animal – Only as professionally prescribed.
