What are EAA’s?Â
EAAs are used by the body to promote healing of injured tissues, speed up recovery, and protect against muscle tissue breakdown (catabolism) during exercise. EAA’s promote protein synthesis in muscle and are used to provide energy. They have been shown to decrease post-workout soreness which increases recovery time.
Essential Amino Acids, or EAAs for short, are a combination of nine different essential amino acids, which the body cannot produce on its own and need to be taken in from food or supplementation.  They include Leucine, Isoleucine, Valine, Lysine, Threonine, Phenylalanine, Methionine, Histidine and Tryptophan.  Â
Amino acids are the building blocks of protein, they are crucial in the synthesis of muscle growth and prevention of muscle catabolism as well as mental health.  Most types of meat, fish, eggs and certain plant source foods like quinoa and chia seeds are all considered complete proteins, because they contain all nine essential amino acids your body needs.Â
Studies have shown EAA to be beneficial due to the characteristics of its individual components as well.  For example, Leucine helps in wound recovery and plays an important role in muscle protein synthesis, Valine helps promote or maintain nitrogen balance (essential for muscular development), and Isoleucine helps boost energy, induces glucose uptake into cells and is necessary for forming hemoglobin.Â
For people with low dietary protein intake, EAA supplementation can promote muscle protein synthesis and increase muscle growth over time. Supplementation can also be used to prevent fatigue in novice athletes.Â
Supplementing EAAs prevents a serum decline in EAAs, which occurs during exercise or excessive work.  A serum decline would normally cause a tryptophan influx into the brain, followed by serotonin production, which causes fatigue.Â

Use & Benefits
EAAs are used by the body to promote healing of injured tissues, speed up recovery, and protect against muscle tissue breakdown (catabolism) during exercise.Â
EAA’s promote protein synthesis in muscle and are used to provide energy.  They have been shown to decrease post-workout soreness which increases recovery time.Â
Even small amounts of exercise can cause EAA levels in the body to drop quickly.  This leads to muscle breakdown (catabolism) and fatigue.  This Makes EAA popular with athletes of many different intensity levels.Â
Supplementation with EAA has been shown to provide powerful anabolic and anti-catabolic effects on the body, as well as potentiating growth hormone and reducing fatigue. Â
Supplementing with EAAs can be beneficial for anyone following an intermittent fasting routine as well, giving you peace of mind that you can go 16 hours without any food and not worry about burning any muscle.Â
Suggested Use
